SUMMARY

Tree to 25-30m tall; slash white with orange/red streaks. Stipules absent. Leaves alternate, simple, clustered at twig tip, obovata; apex obtuse-rounded with elongate sub-triangular acumen (length 2-3x base width); base decurrent. Secondary venation widely spaced (>10mm) parallel, forming continuous sub-marginal loops; tertiary venation reticulate, impressed above. Abaxial surfaces glabrous. Inflorescences either solitary or paired at base of petioles. Calyx red, to 6mm long. Corolla unknown. Staminodes 6-7mm long shorter than corolla lobes. Ovary 5-locular. Fruit subspherical, borne below branches, 10-12cm diameter.
