SUMMARY

Tree to 40m tall, slash with white latex. Stipules absent. Leaves alternate, simple, elliptic; apex obtuse-acute, sometimes rounded, with very small sub-triangular acumen; base acute sometimes rounded. Secondary venation widely spaced (>10mm) parallel, forming continuous sub-marginal vein; tertiary venation tightly scalariform. Abaxial lamina with dense curly red hairs; midrib and petiole with felt like pubescence. Inflorescences subsessile at leaf axis or old nodes. Calyx to 4mm long, pubescent. Corolla tube ~2.5mm long, lobes 3-4mm long. Stamens 2-3mm long, filaments flattened, no staminodes. Ovary 5-locular, densely pilose. Fruit sessile, globose, rusty tomentose.
