SUMMARY

Tree to 20-35m tall; slash dark red with white latex. Stipules absent. Leaves alternate, simple, obovata; apex obtuse with small to large sub-triangular acumen; base cuneate. Secondary venation widely spaced (>10mm) parallel, forming continuous sub-marginal loops; tertiary venation scalariform. Abaxial surfaces glabrous. Inflorescences on branches. Calyx 3.5-4mm long, pubescent. Corolla tube to 3.5mm long, lobes 1mm. Stamens shorter than corolla lobes, no staminodes. Ovary 5-locular. Fruit ovoid, borne on leafy branches high in the crown.
